In this Waka Voyaging Section you will find a selection of websites, videos, multimedia, interactive and written material that examines the story of Polynesian and Maori ocean voyaging in the Pacific.
Polynesian Voyaging explores the art and science of traditional Polynesian voyaging and the people throughout the Pacific who lead the rediscovery of waka construction, traditional navigation techniques and have established a Polynesian voyaging network and events.
New Zealand Waka and Voyaging links you to websites, videos and stories about the traditions of waka voyaging, star navigation and New Zealanders who pioneered the resurgence of building, ocean voyaging and teaching in Aotearoa.
