Type in “Dark Matter” into Google and you will get 708 000 matches. You could spend many hours/days exploring all that these sites have to offer. We thought we should provide a starting point for those of you who found the video interesting and want to know more. The following sites are a selection of those we have looked at. They pitch the information at a suitable level for school students. We found them very useful ourselves.

The best place to start any search is with the homepage of your local observatory. They will have lots of good links to other websites. The staff are a great resource too. We strongly recommend you arrange a visit to your local observatory if you are interested in astronomy. Our local observatory – Stardome, Auckland – has been a great help.

Nasa of course has excellent information in every area of astronomy especially new technology and of course the recent space exploration. Full of heaps of fantastic animations we recommend this website for all.

For human knowledge check out the lectures that the Auckland Astronomical society offer. Its easy to join and there are heaps of advantages to being a member, including hiring telescopes and sometimes trips out of Auckland to view the stars.
